JAMMU, MAY 22: Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Justice N Kotiswar Singh, today administered the oath of office to Justice WasimSadiqNargal as Additional Judge of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh in the Chief Justice’s Courtroom here.
The oath-taking ceremony was attended in Jammu by Justice AtulSreedharan, Justice Rajesh Oswal, Justice VinodChatterjiKoul, Justice Puneet Gupta, Justice Rahul Bharti, and Justice RaieshSekhri. Virtually participating from Srinagar were Justice TashiRabstan, Justice Sanjeev Kumar, Justice Sindhu Sharma, Justice Sanjay Dhar, Justice JavedIqbalWani, Justice MohdAkramChowdhary, Justice Moksha KhajuriaKazmi, and Justice MohdYousufWani.
The proceedings of the oath-taking ceremony were conducted by ShahzadAzeem, Registrar General, who read the contents of the notification received from the Government of India, Ministry of Law & Justice, Department of Justice (Appointments Division), the Warrants of Appointment issued by the President of India, and the Letter of Authorization issued by the Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, authorizing the Chief Justice to administer the oath of office to Justice WasimSadiqNargal.
The ceremony was also attended by a former judge of the High Court, the Advocate General, the Assistant Solicitor General of India, Jammu, the Director General of Police, the Divisional Commissioner of Jammu, the Secretary to Government, Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, the Principal District Judge of Jammu, members of various Bars, other officers of civil and police administration, as well as officers and staff of the Registry.
