Jammu, Apr12: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha extended his heartiest greetings to the people on the eve of Baisakhi.
In his message, the Lt Governor said: “Heartiest greetings and best wishes to all on the joyous occasion of Baisakhi.
It is an occasion to celebrate the hard work of our farmers and to honour their invaluable contribution in nation building. Baisakhi marks the foundation of KhalsaPanth by Guru Gobind Singh Sahib, the tenth Guru, who transformed the Sikhs into a family of Saint-Soldier. Guruji’s message of selfless service, truthfulness, sacrifice, equality and universal love is an abiding source of inspiration for all of us. On this Baisakhi, let us resolve to follow the path shown by Guru Gobind Singh Sahib.
May the festival of Baisakhi this year usher in peace, prosperity and happiness for all”.
Meanwhile, on the joyful occasions of Baisakhi and Dr.AmbedkarJayanti, the Director General of Police, J&K, R.R Swain has extended warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, as well as to the police and security forces personnel, and the families of martyrs.
In a message the DGP has said that, Baisakhi marks the beginning of the new harvesting season, symbolizing hope and prosperity. Praying for all the citizens living in J&K, he hoped that people of J&K will continue to reap the benefits of peace which has been brought in by the sacrifices of the martyrs. The changed J&K is ready to progress and develop, let’s strengthen the bond between Police and public to end the remnants of terrorism, to protect our youth from narco-terrorism and to fight strongly against the gangsters, the DGP has appealed to the people.
The DGP has further stated that Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s remarkable life journey from humble beginning to becoming a pioneer in shaping India’s constitution serves as an inspiration to all and encourages all of us to strive for excellence and contribute to making the nation proud.
These festivals are not just occasions for celebration but also serve as reminders of the values of peace, unity, and progress that we should uphold as a society, DGP said in his message.
