Rajouri, Dec 04: As part of Jan Abhiyan under ‘My Town My Pride’, a public outreach camp was on Sunday organised here at Kheora on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal. The event was presided over by the Assistant Commissioner Revenue Rajouri, Imran Rashid Kataria.
During the public outreach programme, the locals apprised the ACR about a number of issues and demands in their areas. After giving a patient hearing to the issues projected on the occasion, the ACR assured that immediate corrective measures will be taken to resolve the genuine demands of the public in a phased manner.
Highlighting the online services provided by the Revenue Department, he informed the participants that now people can apply online for character certificates, income and asset certificates for economically weaker sections, income certificates, marriage certificates, OBC/RBA/ALC/IB certificates, legal heir certificate, Pahari speaking certificate, property certificates, etc. He appealed to the people to avail the benefits of these services.
The people were sensitised about how to search and view copies of scanned data online on the CIS portal http://landrecords.jk.gov.in/ which includes Jamabandis, Girdawaris, Masavis and Mutations, etc, and were motivated to use the system to access their land records online.
The ACR laid emphasis upon the officers to maintain close coordination with the public representatives to resolve the people’s issues timely. He called for synergised efforts for 100 percent saturation of all government schemes and effective delivery of varied online services of the Government.
The Assistant Commissioner Revenue urged the people to participate in the upcoming ‘My Town My Pride 2.0’ programme commencing shortly in all the municipalities of the district.
