Pervaiz Ahmed Wani, DCF (Wildlife Warden, Central Division), the theme of the year, “Connecting people and Planet; exploring digital innovation in Wildlife Conservation,” underlining the indispensable role of technology in safeguarding wildlife and nurturing a harmonious relationship with nature.
A major highlight was the discussion on the challenging yet rewarding endeavor of increasing the Hangul population, with its numbers showing a commendable rise from 127 in 2008 to 289 in 2023.
Stressing on scientific approaches, habitat improvement, and genetic diversity, Wani urged wildlife experts and researchers to work diligently towards enhancing wildlife conservation efforts.
