Srinagar, June 01: In a tragic incident in the Arampora area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, a collision between two vehicles resulted in the death of one person and critical injuries to two others.
According to eyewitnesses’ accident occurred earlier on Thursday when a Maruti vehicle (registration number JK09A 2912) and a Tata-Mobile (registration number JK05F 2506) collided near Arampora.
The collision caused severe injuries to two individuals who were identified as Lateef Ahmad Tantary,(43), son of Mohd Kamal Tantary, and Javid Ahmad Lone, (35) , son of Mohd Abdullah Lone, both residents of Darpora Lolab. Both injuried.were immediately rushed to SDH Kupwara for medical assistance.
Tragically, upon arrival at the hospital, doctors declared Lateef Ahmad Tantray as brought dead. The health department official confirmed the deceased’s identity and revealed that Javid Ahmad Lone has been referred to GMC Baramulla for further specialized treatment.
Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
Meanwhile Police in regard has registered a case under relevant sections of law and started investigation into accident.
