Srinagar, May 10: To mark the auspicious occasion of ZeashtaMata Jayanti, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday participated in Mahayagya organised at Zeashta Devi Temple, Zeathyar Srinagar.
The Lt Governor sought the blessings of MataZeashta and prayed for the well being of one and all. He also interacted with the people and extended his heartiest greetings on the auspicious occasion.
Members of Kashmiri Pandit community; office bearers of Zeashta Devi Prabandhak Committee and prominent citizens from all walks of life were present.
On the occasion, Senior BJP leader and General Secretary (Org) Ashok Koul appreciated the arrangements of the administration and management of the temple.
“Each year a large number of devotees visit this temple to participate in the ZeashtaMata Jayanti. The temple has been renovated more as compared to the past. We are satisfied with all the arrangements,” he said.
PradaanZeashta Devi Prabandhak Committee (ZDPC) said ZeashtaMata Jayanti was celebrated with religious fervor at the temple and it is an important day of the Pandit Calendar.
Sunil Kaul, who had come from Delhi, expressed satisfaction with the arrangements made by PradaanZeashta Devi Prabandhak Committee and LG administration for ZeashtaMata Jayanti.
“We prayed for peace and prosperity so that everyone can live in harmony and bonhomie,” he said.
