JAMMU, May 10: Ahead of G 20 summit, scheduled from May 22 to 24 in Srinagar, high alert has been sounded in Jammu and all the Army schools from KaluChack and right upto Akhnoor, Rajouri and Poonch in Jammu region have been closed till May 25.as a precautionary measure following reports that terrorists may hit soft targets ..
“The Army schools have been ordered to be closed till May 25 due to the security threat both in view of the upcoming G-20 meets in J&K as also the ongoing intense search operation in the dense forests of Kandi in Rajouri,” DSP, Akhnoor, Mohan Sharma informed Rising Kashmir
The security forces, on the basis of intelligence inputs and information gathered during the questioning of suspects and Over Ground Workers (OGWs) detained for helping and sheltering the terrorists involved in recent terror attacks in Rajouri and Poonch, sounded alert after which all the Armyschools were ordered to be closed till May 25.
It may be mentioned that high alert was also sounded in Jammu right from Pathankot upto KaluChackfew days ago after the encounter broke out in Kandi forests of Rajouri. All the Army schools were also closed then also.
