Srinagar, Apr 04: The Jammu and Kashmir State Investigation Agency (SIA) on Tuesday conducted raids at five locations in three Kashmir districts, including the residences of two Hurriyat leaders in Srinagar interror funding case.
A senior SIA official told Rising Kashmir that five locations were raided in Valley, including two houses belonging to Hurriyat leaders – Bilal Siddiqui and Molvi Bashir in Allochi Bagh area of Srinagar.
The SIA sleuths assisted by the Jammu and Kashmir Police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) showed up at the locations early today morning and raided the six locations.
The case has been registered under FIR no 22/2022 at police station CIK/SIA Kashmir. The raids came over a month and half after the SIA on Tuesday raided five places in four districts of Kashmir valley.
A SIA spokesman said that multiple searches were conducted in connection with investigation of case FIR No 22/2022 , U/S 13,17,38 and 40 of UA(P) Act, PS CIK/SIA Kashmir and searches were conducted at multiple locations in 3 districts Kupwara, Baramulla and Srinagar.
“The terror funding case is under investigation with SIA Kashmir to unearth the logistic and funding support channels of terrorism, emanating from Pakistan and it’s ISI network,” he said.
The spokesman said since the conspiracy is deep rooted and has multi ramifications hence covers wide range of subjects and locations to be scanned and analysed, current searches have been an essential aspect of the investigation to collect relevant and vital evidences for the logical conclusion of the case.
“Obeying the search orders issued by TADA Court Srinagar, sleuths of SIA Kashmir today conducted search at five potential locations in the three districts of Kashmir under legal provisions of criminal procedure code,” the spokesman said.
He said no arrests were made from anylocations. Investigation of the case is going on, the Spokesman said.
Earlier on Feb 21, SIA conducted searches at multiple locations in Anantnag and Pulwama districts in south Kashmir, Baramulla and Sopore in north Kashmir and Budgam district in central Kashmir.

Srinagar, Apr 04: The Special Investigation Unit (SIU-II) Srinagar has seized two vehicle, including a Tata Motor Vehicle and a Pulsar Cycle, for being used to facilitate terrorist operations in the UT of J&K.
A police spokesman said that SIU II of Srinagar seized one TATA Motor vehicle bearing Registration No. JK15-2207 and Pulsar 200 Motorcycle bearing Registration No. JK13H-2452 in case FIR No. 41/2022 under section 7/25 AA Act & 13, 18, 20, 23, 39 & 39 UA (P)Act of PS Shaltang and case FIR No. 02/2023 under section 8/21 NDPS Act & 13, 18, 20, 38, 39 & 40 UA(P) Act of PS Kothibagh.
The spokesman said that it is worth to mentioning here that said TATA vehicle and Motorcycle were seized by Police on 20-11-2022 and 10-01-2023 in two different occurrences.
” The accused persons were transporting Arms, ammunition, cash, Posters, Heroin etc in order to support terrorist activities in the UT of J&K,” he said.
The spokesman said during investigation in both the cases, sixaccused persons have been arrested so far and investigation with regard to involvement of other persons is going on.
He said the said attachment orders were issued in exercise of power conferred U/S 25 read with 2 (g)( ii) UA(P) Act with the information to designated authority for confirmation.
Accordingly, proceedings under section 25 UA(P) Act were initiated consequently accord of prior approval for attachment of TATA vehicle & Motor cycle was received.
