Srinagar, Mar 05: Prime Minister NarendraModi is slated to inaugurate the integrated development project at Hazratbal shrine and the Sonamarg ski drag lift in Ganderbal district during his forthcoming visit to Kashmir on March 7.
As per official sources, the Prime Minister, during the visit to Srinagar ahead of the parliamentary elections, is likely to address a public meeting, inaugurate or lay the foundation of several development projects through virtual mode.
Hazratbal, one of the most esteemed Muslim shrines in Jammu and Kashmir, has been developed under the Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Augmentation Drive (PRASAD). Additionally, the ski drag lift at Sonamarg in Ganderbal district, aimed at bolstering tourism footfall in the region, will also be inaugurated.
PM Modi is also set to unveil 42 new tourist destinations and launch nine tourism projects, alongside the ‘Chalo India’ campaign, aimed at engaging the Indian diaspora worldwide.
Furthermore, PM Modi will distribute appointment letters to 1,000 job aspirants and engage in virtual interactions with beneficiaries of various schemes at the district level. He is also expected to inaugurate the holistic agriculture development programme during his visit.
The inauguration of the holistic agriculture development program and the agri-entrepreneurs exhibition during Modi’s visit signify a leap towards modernizing Jammu and Kashmir’s agricultural sector. These initiatives are expected to introduce innovative farming techniques and entrepreneurial opportunities, thereby enhancing the livelihoods of the local farming community.
As Prime Minister NarendraModi gears up to visit Jammu and Kashmir, his agenda reflects a comprehensive development strategy aimed at revitalizing the region’s cultural heritage, boosting tourism, empowering local communities through job creation, and advancing agricultural practices. With these initiatives, the region is poised to embrace an inclusive and vibrant future, reinforcing India’s unity and diversity.
Meanwhile, this will be the Prime Minister’s first visit to the Kashmir region since the abrogation of Article 370. His last visit to the Valley was on February 3, 2019, ahead of the LokSabha polls but it’ssecond visit to J&K in less than a month as earlier on February 20, he addressed a public gathering in Jammu where he inaugurated and laid foundation of developmental projects worth Rs 32,000 crore.
