J&K Students Association on Wednesday strongly condemned the lathicharge, inept handling on JKSSB aspirants who were protesting against blacklisted agency APTECH.
In a statement, Association National General for Communication Faizaan Peer said that, It is completely unacceptable and called for the cancellation of the APTECH contract. Those guilty of high-handedness must be punished. Despite protesting peacefully and in a Democratic manner, they were lathi-charged. We demand immediate release of detainee aspirants.
Faizaan said that, Aptech had bad track record of past. By handing recruitment process to them, Authorities will spoil the future of youth of J&K. We request Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to reconsider the decision of engaging Aptech Limited & look for other reliable agencies to conduct these exams, he said.
The government should immediately consider their legitimate demands. The future of thousands of students is at stake and it’s responsibility of J&K Govt to ensure that the recruitment process is transparent and fair. We hope that Govt will take our concerns seriously and take the necessary steps to address this issue, he added.
