Srinagar, Feb 10: The Jammu and Kashmir Friday ordered the transfer and postings of 15 officers in the interest of administration with immediate effect.
As per GAD order issued on Friday reads that Mr. Dheeraj Gupta, IAS (AGMUT:1993), Principal Secretary to the Government, Housing and Urban Development Department, holding additional charge of smart Cities and proposed new Jammu/Srinagar Metropolitan Regional Development, is transferred and posted as Principal Secretary to the Government, Department of Forest, Ecology and Environment.
It said Mr. H. Rajesh Prasad, IAS (AGMUT: 1995), Principal Secretary to the Government, Power Development Department, shall hold the charge of the post of Principal Secretary to the Government, Housing and Urban Development Department, in addition to his own duties, till further orders.
Sanjeev Verma, IAS (AGMUT:2001),Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Department of Forest, Ecology and Environment, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, General Administration Department.
Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, IAS (AGMUT:2005) Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Revenue Department, holding additional charge of Principal Resident Commissioner, J&K Government, New Delhi, has been transferred and posted as Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir.
Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, IAS (AGMUT:2012), Special Secretary to the Government, Finance Department, holding additional charge of CEO, ERA & Mission Director, Jal Jeevan Mission, J&K, has been transferred and posted as Administrative Secretary, Culture Department, relieving Zubair Ahmad, JKAS, of the additional charge of the post.
“He shall hold the charge of the post of Chief Executive Officer, Economic Reconstruction Agency, in addition to his own duties, till further orders,” it said.
Dr. Piyush Singla, IAS (AGMUT:2012), Administrative Secretary, General Administration Department, has been transferred and posted as Administrative Secretary, Revenue Department.
Rakesh Minhas, IAS (AGMUT:2016), awaiting orders of adjustment in the General Administration Department, has been posted as Managing Director, SIDCO. “He shall also hold the charge of the post of Managing Director, SICOP, in addition to his own duties, till further orders.”
Raman Kumar Kesar, JKAS, Managing Director, SIDCO, holding additional charge of Managing Director, SICOP, has been transferred and posted Secretary in the Power Development Department.
Ms. Deepika Kumari Sharma, JKAS, Chief Operating Officer, Himayat, holding additional charge of Executive Director, Mubarak Mandi Heritage Society, has been transferred and posted as Secretary in the Jal Shakti Department.
“She shall also hold the charge of the post of Executive Director, Mubarak Mandi Heritage Society, in addition to her own duties, till further orders.”
Dr. Ghulam Nabi Itoo, JKAS, Special Secretary to the Government, Jal Shakti Department, has been transferred and posted as Mission Director, Jal Jeevan Mission.
Shabir Hussain Bhat, JKAS, Special Secretary to the Government, General Administration Department, has been transferred and posted as Director, Rural Development, Kashmir.
Imam Din, JKAS, Director, Rural Development, Kashmir, has been transferred and posted as Managing Director, J&K Horticulture, Produce, Marketing and Processing Corporation.
Rajneesh Gupta, JKAS, Additional Secretary to the Government, Jal Shakti Department, has been transferred and posted as Chief Operating Officer, Himayat
Shafat Sultan, Managing Director, J&K Horticulture, Produce, Marketing and Processing Corporation, has been transferred and shall await further orders of adjustment in the General Administration Department for further posting.
Amit Vermani, JKAS, Member, J&K Services Selection Board, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary to the Government, General Administration Department.
Mr. Sarmad Hafeez, IAS (AGMUT:2009), Secretary to the Government, Tourism Department, holding additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Youth Services and Sports Department, is transferred and posted as Secretary to the Government, Youth Services and Sports Department, on full time basis.
In another order issued by GAD states that in continuation of Government Order No. 207-JK(GAD) of 2023 dated 10.02.2023, Mr. Sarmad Hafeez, IAS (AGMUT:2009), Secretary to the Government, Youth Services and Sports Department, shall hold the charge of the post of Administrative Secretary, Tourism Department, in addition to his own duties, till further orders.
For its post Covid revival strategy, J&K Tourism awarded at SATTE
Srinagar, Feb 10: J&K Tourism Department showcased its varied tourism products, initiatives and efforts to further boost the tourism potential of UT at the South Asian Travel Trade Expo (SATTE), one of the biggest domestic travel marts.
The J&K Tourism Department was awarded at the expo for its best post covid business recovery. Pertinently, last year saw a record tourist footfall to J&K which was possible only due to the calibrated post covid initiatives taken by the Department for the revival of the sector.
The three day travel mart in which more than 1200 representatives of travel trade from across the country and abroad are participating opened yesterday at New Delhi and it was inaugurated by Union Minister for Tourism, G Kisan Reddy.
More than 150 exhibitors drawn from both Jammu and Kashmir divisions including tourism stakeholders, hoteliers, travel agents and other representatives of local hospitality trade are attending the travel expo.
The Tourism Department at the expo is being represented by CEO, Patnitop Development Authority, Sher Singh; CEO, Pahalgam Development Authority, Syed Sajad; Deputy Director Tourism, Alyas Ahmad and other officers.
The J&K stall put up by the Tourism Department was the attraction of hundreds of visitors who evinced keen interest in the presentations and publicity material put on display particularly in tourism sub sectors like adventure, wildlife and nature besides leisure tourism.
Leading tour and travel operators of the country besides representatives of digital, print and electronic media visited the J&K stall. An important feature of this year’s participation from J&K was the participation of women travel agents from Kashmir in good numbers.
On the sidelines of the event, the J&K Tourism Department hosted the J&K evening to showcase the unique tourism product range of the UT in which more than 800 delegates comprising travel operators, travel writers, influencers and other participants associated with travel trade attended.
On the occasion, a presentation was made by the J&K Tourism on the tourism potential of J&K and the new initiatives taken by the UT administration and the Department. Videos and other publicity material showcasing different segments of tourism of J&K was displayed on the occasion.
