AKAM: Inter-Cluster Art & Cultural Mela held at GGHS Shopian

Shopian, May 19: Inter-Cluster Art and Cultural mela under the banner of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsava and G20 was kick started on Friday by Chief Education Officer (CEO) Shopian, Mohmmad Mushtaq at Govt Girls Higher Secondary Shopian, here.
Among others the event was attended by Deputy Chief Education Officer Shopian, Javaid Ahmad Khan; Principal Govt GHSS Shopian,  Afrooza besides other concerned.
During the event, students competed in many art forms like painting, essay writing, singing seminar and stand up comedy.         
Students from various schools across the district participated in these competitions and were found enjoying the platform where they could showcase their talent and skills.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Education Officer said that to boost the morale of students and to bring the best out of them, these activities should be organized from time to time. He said his office is committed to provide an ideal environment for holistic development of students.
He said the overall personality development is the need of hour and ample focus must be given to co-curriculum activities.
Deputy Chief Education Officer Shopian, Javaid Ahmad Khan said that co-scholastic activities are morale booster for students. The students must be given a chance to participate in competitions like these for their overall personality development.
He said talent of students must be explored and polished for their career to touch great heights in future.
