Budgam, Sep 18: A 60-year-old man from Poonch died on spot after falling from a Walnut tree in the Khag area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Monday.
A Police official from the Police Station Khag told Rising Kashmir that the man fell from the Walnut tree at the Ellahipora Nagabal Khag, resulting in his on-spot death.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Rafiq Konsowar, son of Faqir Ahmad Konsowar, aged 60. He was originally a resident of the Poonch district and was presently living in Khag.
“Following the incident, he was immediately shifted to the hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him dead upon arrival,” official said.
Meanwhile, the police have taken cognizance of the incident.
