The district administration has provided immediate relief to a family whose house was hit by landslide today morning at Chandgam village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Local residents informed that residential house of Ghulam Nabi Malik was hit by landslide triggered by intermittent rains.

They said that a window and surrounding wall suffered damages after hit by the landslide.

The locals said that the house is located at the base of a Karewa prone to landslides.

Tehsildar Pulwama, Mohammad Iqbal, said that they visited the spot and handed over immediate relief to the victim family from the Red Cross.

“A cheque and utility kits were handed over to the victim family on instructions of DC Pulwama,” officials said.
