Ganderbal: The Division of Social Science at the Faculty of Fisheries, SKUAST-K, launched a one-week training program titled “Changing Contours of Research in the Digital Era” in Rangil area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal on Friday
Participants from various domains across the region attended the inaugural function.
The event was graced by the presence of distinguished individuals including Prof. (Dr.) Farooz A Bhat, Dean FoFy, Prof. (Dr.) Aquil Ahmad, Head of Statistics from AMU, Dr. Hamid Naseem Rafiabadi from CUK, and Dr. Bilal Ahmad Bhat, Head of the Division of Social Science, who organized the program. Faculty members and participants from the Faculty of Fisheries also joined the event.
During the event, Prof. (Dr.) Farooz Ahmad Bhat, Dean Faculty of Fisheries SKAUST-K, emphasized the significance of digital tools and techniques in data analysis for the benefit of society and academia. He expressed gratitude to the honorable VC Prof. Nazir Ahmad Ganaie for supporting the Faculty of Fisheries in organizing such training programs.
Prof. (Dr.) Aquil Ahmad, Head of Statistics at AMU, underscored the importance of statistical tools and techniques in our daily lives. Dr. Hamid Naseem Rafiabadi, Former Dean of Social Sciences at CUK, provided an overview of the research process, emphasizing novelty and creative thinking, along with the need to address society’s needs through research problems.
Prof. (Dr.) Bilal Ahmad Bhat, Head of the Division of Social Sciences and organizer of the program, introduced the training program and highlighted the diversity of participants in attendance.
The participants had the opportunity to engage with the dignitaries and were enriched by expert talks during the event.
The program concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Mudasir M. Kirmani, Co-organizer of the training program.
