Srinagar, Nov 01: As a part of Vigilance Awareness Week, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar on Wednesday hosted a friendly football match among the staffers, where team A outperformed team B with a 3-0 victory.
The tournament was coordinated by the NIT Srinagar administration, with Dr. Manoj Kumar leading team A and Deputy Registrar Administration Faisal Irshad Ganai leading team B.
In the nail-biting match, Dr. Mushtaq Rather from the Chemical Engineering department netted the first goal for team A, followed by Dr. Manoj Kumar from Mechanical Engineering securing the second goal, and the third goal was scored by Prof. S.A Shah from the Chemistry department. This dominant performance gave team A, a commanding 3-0 lead.
On the contrary, team B staff could not find the net throughout the match, despite several attempts.
The Vigilance Awareness Week, dedicated to promoting ethical conduct and combating corruption, will run until November 5.
NIT Srinagar has lined up a series of events, such as expert talks, symposiums, workshops, skits, and awareness campaigns, all aimed at fostering integrity and ethical values.
