Srinagar, May 05: Several individuals from diverse sections of society joined the Janata Dal (United) here in the presence of the party’s Jammu and Kashmir president, G M Shaheen.
Among the notable new entrants was BDC Harwan, Altaf Ahmad, the party said in a press release issued here.
On the occasion, Shaheen commended Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha for his commendable efforts in promoting entrepreneurship. He remarked, “Entrepreneurship is not merely a means of livelihood for our youth, but a powerful tool to realise their dreams and aspirations.” He extended his gratitude to LG Manoj Sinha Sahab for his continued commitment to skill development and creating opportunities for youth empowerment.
Shaheen claimed that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have become disillusioned with the National Conference, a party that, according to him, has misled them for years. “The public now sees JD(U) as a credible alternative, one committed to fair and transparent governance,” he said.
Reaffirming the party’s commitment to its workers, Shaheen pledged that JD(U) would make every effort to extend support through the Government of India. “JD(U) will contest the upcoming Panchayat and Municipal elections in Jammu and Kashmir, and will achieve a significant victory over the National Conference,” he said.
Shaheen further reiterated JD(U)’s resolve to tackle pressing issues affecting the common citizen, particularly in the fields of employment and business development. “The JD(U) remains committed to its mission of empowering the people and driving meaningful change,” he said.
