Expedite pending developmental works: ADC
Bhaderwah, Feb 19: A Weekly Block Diwas program was Wednesday held at Panchayat Ghar Dradhu in Block Bhaderwah, aiming to address public grievances and enhance grassroots governance. The event witnessed the participation of local residents, public representatives, and senior officials who actively engaged in discussions on developmental issues and service delivery mechanisms.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhaderwah, Sunil Kumar, presided over the programme, emphasising the significance of Block Diwas in bridging the gap between the administration and the public. He assured timely redressal of grievances and directed officials to expedite pending developmental works, particularly in sectors like water supply, rural infrastructure, and social welfare. Discussions also included strategies to improve public service delivery and enhance coordination between government departments.
The event was attended by District Development Council (DDC) Member Yudhveer Singh Thakur; Block Development Officer (BDO) Bhaderwah, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department, former PRI representatives and other senior officers. Public representatives highlighted key concerns, and officials provided updates on ongoing projects and upcoming initiatives to ensure effective governance at the grassroots level.
The Weekly Block Diwas program continues to serve as a vital platform for direct dialogue between citizens and the administration, fostering participatory development and efficient resolution of public issues in the Bhaderwah region.
