Faridabad, Oct 02: A superb batting display by promising young opening batsman Saksham Pandita and brilliant bowling show by Raj Kumar guided Masters Cricket Academy to a convincing 4-wicket win over DPS Greater Faridabad in an individual match for exposure of players at Masters Cricket Academy Ground Faridabad, today.
Masters Cricket Academy rode on a magnificent innings of 85 runs by Saksham and chased a good total of 223 runs set by DPS Greater Faridabad XI by losing 6 wickets, thus won the match by 4 wickets. Saksham was in sublime touch and showed stellar grit and tenacity and hit the ball with fluidity and grace to notch up a brilliant half-century. He struck 15 fours and one six in his 77-ball knock.
For DPS Greater Faridabad XI, Chaitanya and Nakul bagged wickets each.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, DPS Greater Faridabad XI scored 223 runs in 36.3 overs. Harjeet Chandila top scored with 73 runs off 70 balls, studded with 13 fours and one six, while Tanishq Raj Madan contributed 54 runs off 71 balls with 9 boundaries.
Raj Kumar was the pick of the bowlers for Masters Cricket Academy, who took 4 wickets by conceding 21 runs in his 6 overs, while Dipanshu and Vivek Gautam claimed 3 and 2 wickets respectively.
For his brilliant batting display, Saksham was adjudged as the man of the match.
