Apni Party leaders visit fire victims in Sonamarg

Srinagar, Feb 12: On the instructions of Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, a delegation of prominent party leaders—including Media Advisor Farooq Andrabi and Provincial Secretary and Chairman of DDC Srinagar Aftab Malik—along with a group of senior workers, visited Sonamarg today, where a devastating fire recently reduced dozens of shops and restaurants to ashes.
According to a party statement issued here, Andrabi and Malik led a party delegation to Sonamarg to meet the fire victims and express solidarity with them.
“The leaders met the traders who suffered huge losses in the devastating fire and expressed deep sorrow and grief over their losses. They also conveyed Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari’s message of sympathy to the sufferers, saying that the entire party stands in unwavering solidarity with them,” the press note said.

On this occasion, while speaking to media reporters, Farooq Andrabi said, “We stand in solidarity with our brothers who have suffered huge losses due to the recent devastating fire. We met with these victims and expressed our complete solidarity with them in this hour of grief. Apni Party demands that the authorities ensure the restoration of affected businesses as soon as possible. They must be given adequate compensation so that they can rebuild their businesses.”
The senior workers who joined Andrabi and Malik during this visit included Atta Mohammad Khatana, Abdul Latief, Musharaf Khatana,Mohammad Khalid, Mohammad Shahnaz, Shamim Ahmad, Ghulam Hassan Lone, and others. Chairman Bapar Mandal Sonamarg Shabir Ahmad Lone was also present on this occasion.
