Jammu, Feb 12 : National Conference Additional General Secretary and former Minister Ajay Kumar Sadhotra today expressed deep grief and anguish over the killing of an Army Captain and a Soldier in an IED blast in the Akhnoor sector, terming it a tragic loss for the nation.
Such incidents speak of the false claims of BJP government that after 5th August 2019, normalcy has been restored.
In a statement issued, Sadhotra condemned the cowardly act and expressed serious concern over the continuous attempts by Pakistan to fuel terrorism in the region. He said that the rogue neighbor is persistently engaged in perpetrating terror, disrupting peace, and endangering the lives of security personnel and civilians. “The enemies of the nation must be taught a befitting lesson. Such heinous acts should not go unpunished,” he asserted.

Emphasizing the need for a firm and decisive response, Sadhotra urged the government to act swiftly and strongly against terror elements and their harbours. “Jammu should not be allowed to become a soft target for terror
activities. The government must ensure strict security measures to protect the
life and property of the common people of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
Expressing solidarity with the families of the brave hearts, Sadhotra said that the nation stands with them in this hour of grief and will remain indebted
to their supreme sacrifice. He lauded the courage and dedication of the armed forces in defending the nation despite facing grave challenges.
He further called upon the people to remain united and vigilant in the fight against terrorism, which he termed as a serious challenge to civilized society.
He said that recent terror-related incidents in Jammu region are alarming and require a collective effort from all sections of society to eradicate the menace of terrorism.(KNS)
