Srinagar, Jan 29: The 10th Battalion, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Srinagar, organised a grand flag-off ceremony for a 9-day Bharat Darshan Study Tour at its Batamaloo headquarters, marking a significant step toward educational outreach and national integration.
The event was graced by Devendra Kumar, Officiating DIG (Commandant, 14 Bn SSB), as the Chief Guest, alongside Dalbir Singh, Second-in-Command, 10 Bn SSB. The dignitaries hoisted the green flag, symbolizing the commencement of a transformative journey of learning and exploration.
A total of 30 Kashmiri youth, primarily from the Gujjar and Bakerwal Boys Hostel and PG Hostel, hailing from remote areas of the Kashmir Valley, are participating in this immersive educational tour.
The itinerary includes visits to Bengaluru, Mysuru, and Delhi, where participants will explore India’s rich cultural diversity, historical heritage, modern advancements, and governance structures. The initiative also offers interactions with officials, providing students with valuable insights into the nation’s administration, progress, and development.
Addressing the participants, Devendra Kumar encouraged them to actively engage and learn throughout the tour, emphasizing the importance of unity, patriotism, and national pride.
The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, leaving participants and attendees inspired by the spirit of nationhood and educational empowerment.
