Srinagar, Jan 28: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kashmir unit felicitated the newly elected National Council Members (NCM) from Jammu and Kashmir – Arif Raja, Mohammad Anwar Khan and Sunita Raina – at the party headquarters here.
Senior leaders, workers, and party karyakartas from across the region attended the felicitation ceremony to honour the newly elected NCM members, the party said in a statement issued here.
Addressing the karyakartas, a senior BJP leader remarked, “The BJP is the only party in the world where every member, from the party president to booth presidents, is elected through a democratic electoral process.”
He added, “The BJP is also unique in that a booth-level member holds voting rights to elect the party president.”
Appreciating the efforts of the workers, karyakartas and senior leadership, the BJP Media Incharge, Kashmir said, “The BJP is growing in Jammu and Kashmir. People are responding and joining hands with the BJP to express their trust in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji. The rise in the vote share in the assembly elections is a clear indication of the party’s rapid growth in Jammu and Kashmir.”
