On the instructions of Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, a delegation of party leaders visited the residence of Ayaz Hafiz Gani, Editor-in-Chief of Rising Kashmir, in Natipora, Srinagar, to extend their condolences on the passing of his elder sister, Shamim Akhtar.
She had been unwell for quite some time and passed away at a hospital in Delhi on Friday evening.
According to a press release, a party delegation led by Provincial Secretary and Chairman of DDC Srinagar, Aftab Malik, along with the party’s District President Srinagar, Mohammad Shafi Mir, visited the residence of the bereaved family in Srinagar’s Natipora area on Monday and extended condolences to Ayaz Sahib and other members of the family.
“The leaders met with the bereaved family and expressed their heartfelt condolences over their profound loss. They also conveyed Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari’s condolence message to the family. On this occasion, the visiting party delegation prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul and strength for the bereaved family to bear the pain of this irreparable loss,” the press release reads.
