Shopian, Dec 30: To gear up the implementation of ongoing Central and UT sector Schemes Director Animal Husbandry Kashmir Dr Parvinder Singh Sudan visited District Shopian to take review of achievements (Physical & financial) under various schemes and activities pertaining to Animal Husbandry Department Shopian. Dr Sudan emphasized to cover the maximum number of beneficiaries and saturate all the govt. schemes with special focus to cover the maximum number of beneficiaries so as to double the farmers’ income from the Dairy and Poultry sector.
The Director passed directions and stressed to establish more units under Project 23, 25 & 28 of HADP Scheme. Furthermore Chair stressed upon all Veterinary Assistant Surgeons to gear up uploadings on Pashudhan Portal in respect to Als, Births & vaccinations in a time bound manner. The visit highlighted the Department’s endeavor for fostering sustainable growth in Animal Husbandry Sector.
Addressing the long pending demands Dr Sudan informed that District Shopian is going to get new state of art Veterinary Hospital for which the budget has been earmarked. Chief Animal Husbandry Officer ShopianDr.Gh. Mohiuddin expressed his gratitude to the Worthy Director for his maiden visit to the District.
