Says youth policies in last 10 years aim to create enabling environment
Welcomes Tamil Nadu youth to J&K, focuses on nation building & social justice
Jammu, Dec 13: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today interacted with a youth delegation from Tamil Nadu, currently on a five-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir for the Yuva Sangam under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative.
The Lieutenant Governor extended a warm welcome to the youth delegation and learned about the diverse experiences and exposure they gained during their visit to Jammu and Kashmir.
“Tamil Nadu and Jammu Kashmir have been eternally connected throughout history. When I look at these two regions, I see the inspiring chapters of ancient Indian history and the contributions of men and women who shaped the destiny of our country,” he remarked.
The Lieutenant Governor also praised the Yuva Sangam initiative by the Ministry of Education, which aims to strengthen the people-to-people connect among youth across various states and Union Territories.
“I am truly grateful to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for unlocking the power of diversity with the spirit of oneness,” he said.
He also discussed youth-specific policies and programs launched in the past decade to create an enabling environment for the younger generation to realize their dreams.
“Our youth’s social consciousness is sharp, and they dream not only for themselves but also for the development of our great nation. They are thinking about the future they want and working towards constructive change for a prosperous society based on equality and social justice,” the Lieutenant Governor added.
Jammu and Kashmir is paired with Tamil Nadu under the Yuva Sangam initiative to promote unity in diversity by facilitating meaningful interactions, cultural exchange, and knowledge sharing among youth.
