Kangan, Nov 27: Mian Mehar Ali, the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Kangan constituency paid a visit to the Trauma Hospital Kangan today to assess the available healthcare facilities and ensure the delivery of quality medical services to the public.
During his visit, the MLA inspected various hospital departments, including the wards, operation theatre, and X-ray unit, to evaluate the quality of care, cleanliness, and availability of essential resources. He met with the Chief Medical Officer of Ganderbal, DDC Kangan Tameena Adil Kapra, Medical Superintendent Dr Salma Bhat of the Trauma Hospital, Block Medical Officer, and other staff members to review the hospital’s operations.
In a review meeting, Mian Mehar Ali emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards in healthcare. “The development of the health sector is not only my top priority but also a primary focus of our National Conference government. We will not compromise on delivering better healthcare services,” he said.
Acknowledging the hospital’s critical role as a central healthcare hub in the region, the MLA noted its significance in serving a large patient population. He also interacted with patients and their attendants, seeking direct feedback on the quality of care they were receiving.
Expressing satisfaction with the hospital’s operations, he commended the staff for their dedication. “Under the supervision of the Medical Superintendent, the Trauma Hospital is providing efficient services, making Kangan a model area for healthcare in Jammu and Kashmir,” the MLA remarked.
