MBR GHSS Mansar Udhampur organises industrial, exposure visit to CUJ

Jammu : In order to ensure practical knowledge of the students, an Industrial/Exposure Visit was organised by Martyr Balbir Raj GHSS Mansar for the students of IT/ITeS on 14th of Nov., 2024 at Central University of Jammu.

The students visited different Labs of Central University of Jammu including Cyber Security Lab,Hi-Tech IT lab and Space Centre of Central University of Jammu.

The visit was planned by Mr. Neeraj Dabgotra, under the guidance of the Principal Smt Charu Anand. The visit was a part of the Vocational Education Course as sponsored by Samagra Shiksha, UT of Jammu and Kashmir.

The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 has given special emphasis on vocational education through integration and mainstreaming of vocational education with general education which will help students in acquiring various skills to meet the needs of the industries and to improve the quality of education.

Students visited different labs of the University where various tools and machines were shown and demonstrated to the students by the professors of the University.

The students were exposed to a well established IT lab having different ICT equipment, visit Satish Dhawan space centre,high tech cyber security lab having simulation model for hydropower projects security where different faculties addressed to students about different Emerging Trends in IT Sector and Space Science.

Moreover students visited the library of the University where they were aware of different IT applications used in library Management.

Every year, students are taken to various institutions to enhance their knowledge in the trades taught at the school and gain insight into how these vocational courses and services operate in real-life scenarios.

Moreover, the staff and students are thankfull to Prof Sanjeev Jain Vice chancellor, Central University of Jammu and Dr. Yashwant Singh registrar and special thanks to Prof Zakir department of computer science and IT for overall support.
