Jammu, Sept 24: S. Manjit Singh, the Apni Party’s candidate for Vijaypur and a former minister, has ramped up his election campaign by holding numerous public meetings throughout the constituency. He is urging voters to support his candidacy to revitalize development that has been neglected for decades.
According to a party statement, Singh addressed the community in Vijaypur, calling on residents to elect him to the Legislative Assembly to bring much-needed change. “Farmers, villagers, youth, and the business community have been adversely affected by government policies controlled by the BJP. The rights and future of our people have been compromised as outsiders are allowed to dominate local trades and mining activities,” he said.
Singh said there is an alarming rise in unemployment in Vijaypur and across Jammu & Kashmir over the past decade due to ineffective government policies. “The gap between public administration and the community has widened significantly. The government has lost the people’s trust by making unilateral decisions without consulting their representatives,” he added.
He expressed that disappointment and hopelessness have taken root among the populace due to the BJP’s actions, claiming that the party’s promised development has been a façade. “The conditions of main and link roads are dire, and infrastructural development has stagnated for the last ten years,” he stated.
Singh urged residents to vote for the Apni Party to change the current regime, promising that Vijaypur will experience significant advancements in employment, job reservations in industries, and a commitment to fighting for farmers’ rights. He highlighted the developmental and welfare schemes the Apni Party intends to implement once in government.
“If elected, I will ensure equitable development for all, without discrimination,” he affirmed, urging voters to support his vision for a better Vijaypur.
