Releases constituency manifesto of Pattan
Srinagar, Sep 12: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference leader and party’s Candidate for Pattan, Riyaz Bedar Thursday that if elected, he will restore the pristine glory of Pattan town and implement a Master Plan in its Municipal Committee limits.
Addressing the media persons in Pattan, he said NC is committed to restore the town’s pristine glory through several key initiatives and will also introduce a special scheme to address urban poverty.
“A major focus will be on developing a significant project for potable water and constructing a modern sports stadium. Creation of a Mini Secretariat, a Dak Banglow cum Environmental Hall, and efforts to place Pattan township on the tourism map,” he said.
Bedar said renovation of the historical Pattan market, construction of a marriage cum community hall, and beautification projects including a mega mall, fountains, street lights, and other enhancements are also part of his agenda.
“If elected, we will upgrade the town’s infrastructure with a slaughterhouse and a scientific dumping site, implement a rehabilitation policy for landless people, and establish a special scheme for street vendors and shopkeepers. These plans are designed to rejuvenate Pattan and improve its community facilities,” he added.
The NC leader further said that the party has comprehensive plans for enhancing healthcare and sports infrastructure in the historic town.
“In healthcare, we aim to upgrade the Community Health Centers (CHC) in Pattan, Singhpora, and Palhalan, and establish a dedicated Mother and Child Care Hospital at the old hospital site in Pattan,” he said.
Bedar said that he will also improve emergency and trauma care services and set up new Primary Health Centers (PHCs) and New Type Primary Health Centers (NTPHCs).
“My plan includes creating health sub-centers every three kilometers and establishing subsidized drug counters to ensure accessible medical care for all,” he said.
The NC leader said in sports infrastructure, he will propose the establishment of a Sports Academy and the development of Astro Turf Stadiums to enable day and night play for youth.
“We will also create indoor stadiums and gym centers in every Panchayat Halqa. Upgrading existing stadiums and playgrounds and sponsoring the best players in the constituency are key components of his strategy to foster athletic talent and provide ample opportunities for sports enthusiasts,” he added.
Bedar further added his constituency manifesto is a detailed extension of the broader manifesto of the party. We are committed to the promises made in this manifesto, he said.
