Rehana Batul inspects Labour Sarai at Udhampur

Secretary Labour and Employment, Rehana Batul, today visited Udhampur and inspected the newly constructed building for Office cum Labour Sarai in the district.

Rehana Batul also released an amount of Rs. 29,55,500 in favour of wards of the registered construction workers under Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board schemes on account of educational assistance.

While speaking on the occasion, the Secretary issued instructions to the concerned officers to put in place necessary arrangements for making the newly constructed Labour Sarai fully functional at the earliest. She laid stress on taking measures to ensure health and safety of the laborers who would be staying there. She appreciated the efforts of Labour Department in providing financial assistance/ scholarships to wards of poor labourers from time to time.
