J&K DGP RR Swain on Sunday said that security forces have achieved a major milestone after six terrorists were killed in two separate encounters in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
J&K DGP said, According to confirmation, encounters have happened on two different encounter sites. 6 terrorists have been neutralised so far.
“Undoubtedly this is a big milestone for the security forces and these successes matter in strengthening the security environment… People are coming together to end terrorism and the operations are gaining momentum”, he said.
He said that the current operation is still underway and has not reached its conclusion… We have received news of the involvement of local terrorists as well…”
Six terrorists have been neutralised and two Indian Army soldiers were killed in action in two separate encounters that broke out in Kulgam district on Saturday, defence officials said on Sunday.
The first encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in Modergam village. Hours later, another encounter broke out in the Frisal Chinnigam area of the district.
