37 teams across India to take part in 68th National School Games U-17 Boys Football

Jammu, Nov 27: Over 700 athletes and officials drawn from 37 teams across the country will be taking part in the 68th National School Games U-17 Boys and Girls Football Championship commencing from November 30, 2024 at Sainik School Nagrota and Khelgaon Nagrota.
The teams which have been registered for this sporting extravaganza include Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Bihar, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, C SE WSO, Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, Delhi, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, IPSC, IBSSO, Jharkhand, Jammu & Kashmir, Karnataka, Kerala, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sanghathan, Lakshadweep, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Navodaya Vidyalaya Sanghathan, Puducherry, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Vidya Bharathi, West Bengal and CBSE.
Meanwhile, Director General Youth Services and Sports, Rajinder Singh Tara visited Khel Gaon and Sainik School Nagrota to take stock of the preparations for 68th National School Games Football event.
He was accompanied by Sunil Kumar Sharma, Accounts Officer of the Directorate and Ravi Kumar Sharma, Deputy Director (Planning) YSS.
The DG Sports also visited the construction site there and was briefed by Deputy Director Planning regarding the pace of work of synthetic Athletic Track, which is under construction with its quality materials.
He also served strict directions with regard to providing every kind of requirement for the smooth and successful conduct of this national level event.
On the occasion, he technical officials of the event briefed him about the ongoing preparations of football grounds and other necessary requirements.
