Srinagar, Mar 16: The Jammu and Kashmir government has transferred two patches of land to the Industries & Commerce Department for establishing an Industrial Estate in Hassan Noor, Pahalgam.
Replying to a question by Altaf Ahmad Wani in the assembly, the Minister in charge of Industries and Commerce stated in a written response that 192 Kanals 15 Marlas of land have been allocated for Phase-I and 119 Kanals for Phase-II.
“The details of both the land patches have been uploaded on the Single Window Portal for further appraisal or allotment,” the government said.
Providing further details on Phase-I, the government stated that fencing work around the estate was approved at a cost of ₹132.36 lakh, out of which ₹100 lakh has been utilized, and the work has been completed.
The response further said that the overall developmental works of the estate have been entrusted to the Central Public Works Department (CPWD), and the Detailed Project Report (DPR) is currently under preparation. Additionally, developmental works for Phase-II have not been initiated yet.
“The DPR is under preparation in respect of Hassan Noor, Phase-I. However, the tentative period for completion of the project shall not exceed fifteen months from the issuance of Administrative Approval (A/A) and Expenditure Sanction (E/S),” the government added.
