Srinagar, Jan 21: Heartfulness Education Trust in association with the Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR), Government of India on Saturday inaugurated a three-day Agro Youth Summit at Kanha Shanti Vanam in Hyderabad city.
30 students of SKUAST Kashmir along with four faculty members were deputed for the summit under the world funded project NAHEP.
The three-day summit was inaugurated by R C Agarwal, Deputy Director General, ICAR and Kamlesh Patel ‘Daaji’, Guide of Heartfulness Meditation Worldwide.
The summit that coincides with the National Youth Day and also the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda intends at empowering the youth of the country studying agriculture with knowledge transfer and technical know-how while keeping meditative minds on the heart of agricultural advancements.
Speaking on the inauguration R C Agarwal said, “It’s a matter of great pride for me because this agro youth fest is being organised in one of the most beautiful places in our country on the auspicious occasion of Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary.”
It is pertinent to mention that in August 2022, HET and ICAR signed anMoU and since then 10000 students from 50 universities have benefited and universities have incorporated their modules.
Agriculture is one of the backbones of our country. Students have to focus on their inner strength and self-realisation that comes from meditation, the organisers said.
