3 killed, 25 injured as mini-bus plunges into gorge in Dodadist

JAMMU, July 13: Three persons, including the driver, lost their lives and 25 others sustained injuries when a private mini bus skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge near Bhatyas in Doda district this morning.
The tragic incident occurred around 10:25 am as the vehicle, en route from Bhalessa to Thathri, veered off the road, resulting in multiple casualties. One woman died on the spot, while another succumbed to injuries at Doda Hospital.
“The seriously injured driver was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, for advanced treatment, but he died on way,” confirmed SSP Doda, JavedIqbal.
Upon receiving the news, an Army team promptly responded and, with the assistance of locals, evacuated all injured passengers to Doda Hospital for medical care.
“All injured individuals are currently receiving treatment at Doda Hospital,” SSP Iqbal assured.
The exact cause of the accident is under investigation.
