23rd Greentech Environment Summit honors corporate leaders for environmental excellence

Ganderbal, Nov 24: The picturesque Sonamarg region of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district recently hosted the 23rd Greentech Environment Summit and Awards, a celebration of environmental sustainability achievements. 
Over 60 major Indian corporate entities, policymakers, and representatives from the State Pollution Control were acknowledged for their outstanding contributions to environmental protection.
The inaugural day, graced by Sub-Divisional Magistrate Javid Ahmed Rather, centered on the theme “Workplace Safety Culture,” advocating for the active promotion of safety within organizations.
Notable on the second day attendees included SDPO Kangan Dr. Muzaffar Jan, SHO Sonamarg Fayaz Ahmad, and Chief Executive Officer of Sonamarg Development Authority (CEO) Dr. Ilyas Hussain.
The event, marked by positive energy, lauded the remarkable accomplishments of companies and individuals committed to eco-conscious practices. Ruchika Davar, celebrity host and Greentech moderator, expressed optimism about the continued success of these companies as champions of a greener future. The diverse industries represented showcased a wide array of efforts dedicated to mitigating environmental impact.
On the Conclusion Day Deputy Commissioner Shayambir (IAS) of Ganderbal, the chief guest, praised the honorees for their notable contributions. In his address, he emphasized the significance of recognizing and promoting sustainable practices, highlighting the pivotal role these companies play in fostering environmental stewardship. Special attention was given to environmental protection efforts in Baltal this year.
The Greentech Environment Summit and Awards, led by Kamleshwar Sharan, CEO, and Chairman of the Greentech Foundation, have become a hallmark event. Recognized as a beacon for corporate responsibility towards the environment, the awards commend companies from diverse sectors for their innovative approaches and proactive measures in achieving environmental excellence.
The Greentech Environment and Sustainability Awards aim to recognize responsible and innovative practices, setting a standard for initiatives that contribute to achieving sustainable goals. The event serves as an inspiring testament to the positive strides made in corporate environmental responsibility, fostering hope for a brighter and more sustainable tomorrow.
