Bandipora, September 24: Tourists visiting the scenic Athwatoo in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district are facing difficulties in absence of mobile connectivity in the area.
Athwatoo, about 12 kilometers from District headquarters Bandipora, is regarded as one of the pristine locations, with many tourists flocking here each year to see this picturesque place.
Athwatoo also acts as a base camp for trekkers heading to different meadows including the Trisangam , Khatti and patalwan.
A tourist from Sopore area who visited Athwatoo along with family told Rising Kashmir that though they spent a day in Athwatoo, they were completely disconnected from the rest of the world as the area is without mobile network coverage.
A local Mohd Aslam told Rising Kashmir that all the tourists who come here have always complained about the lack of mobile network.
They appealed to concerned authorities to look into the matter so many more tourists will visit this picturesque place.
