Youm-e-Ashura: Imam Hussain taught value of human dignity: Hakeem

Srinagar, July 17: Chairman of the People’s Democratic Front (PDF), Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen on Wednesday paid tribute to the martyrs of Karbala on the eve of Ashura.
“Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions in Karbala offered supreme sacrifice of their dear lives for upholding the values of truth, justice and righteousness,” Hakeem said in a statement issued here.
He said the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions has taught the world about the high values of human dignity and morality.
The PDF Chairman reiterated that the path shown by the martyrs of Karbala would continue to be the torchbearer for future generations till the Day of Judgment.
“May the day of Ashura prove to be a harbinger of peace, prosperity, development, brotherhood and harmony in Jammu and Kashmir,” Hakeem prayed.
