Jammu, Jan 18: Apni Party Provincial President, Jammu, and former minister, S. Manjit Singh on Thursday said that the party would resolve the issues of youth if it formed the next government in Jammu and Kashmir.
Singh, as per a statement, was addressing a joining program at the party office in Gandhi Nagar, Jammu in which two prominent youth leaders from Vijaypur, Samba joined the Apni Party. Those who joined include Anil Mangotra, and Sheetal Devi, both residents of ward number 5 in Vijaypur, Samba district.
In his address, the former minister referred to the “disappointment” among the unemployed youth with the lack of chances for government jobs in Jammu and Kashmir and the “grab” of jobs in the private sector by outsiders.
“The youth have hopes with the Apni Party and its leadership, Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari because we worked for the people and all the regions equally without any discrimination,” he said while criticizing the traditional political parties for trying to divide society for political gains.
He said that the Apni Party however believes in unity in both the regions so that peace and prosperity can prevail in Jammu and Kashmir.  “The traditional political parties tried to divide the society on the name of region and religion. And the people especially the youth became the victims of their propaganda. Hence, they lost hope in their future,” he said.
Manjit demanded that the assembly elections should be held in Jammu and Kashmir at the earliest to address the growing concerns of the people, especially unemployed youth. “The restoration of statehood is equally important. There shall be no compromise on the demands of the people. However, all the traditional political parties have failed to do justice to the people,” he said.
Singh said that if the Apni Party forms the next government in Jammu and Kashmir, it would resolve all the issues that affect the youth of both regions.
