VC DDC Udhampur listens to public issues, assures redressal

Udhampur, Sep 08: Several delegations on Friday called on Juhi Manhas Pathania, Vice Chairperson District Development Council here at her office in the DC office complex, Udhampur.
A variety of issues were projected including the provision of drinking water, electricity supply, road connectivity, and paucity of staff in schools of various far-flung areas of District Udhampur.
A deputation called upon the Vice Chairperson regarding the clearance of land requisitioning under RAIP Act-1952 and land acquired under the Land Acquisition Act by Army Authorities.
While interacting with the deputation and talking to the civil secretariat as well as the defence authorities, she called for immediate clearance of the same without any further delay.
A spirited deputation from Ritti called upon the Vice–Chairperson to sanction funds under NABARD for the road from Ritti to Kothi in 3rd to km 4th.
Jattu Ram, DDC Ramnagar II also projected various developmental issues pertaining to the area represented by him. He called for prevailing upon ERA to extend Pattri to Beri road up to Panchayat Ghar Bhatyari. The said road will provide an alternate road network connecting the said road to Kagote Dalsar road and will provide connectivity to Ramnagar.
A deputation from the Tikri area put forth the demand for the construction of a bridge over Raal Nallah from Khandui to Pagyal. Another deputation from the Sattian Panchayat of Ramnagar area demanded for construction of Protection work for the prevention of loss of public land from landslides.
Another deputation from the Khoon area called for addressing the paucity of staff and lack of proper infrastructure in the various schools of the area. Most of the high secondary and high schools in the areas are without any lecturers.
After giving a patient hearing to all the deputations, the Vice Chairperson took up these issues with the concerned departments and instructed them to provide viable solutions to the people.
Various other delegations led by PRI members had detailed discussions with the Vice Chairperson regarding key developmental issues pertaining to their areas regarding shortage of drinking water, irregular water supply, electricity supply, and paucity of staff in schools and health institutions. She assured delegations of proper redressal of all their demands.
