Pulwama, Dec10: The ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra has covered around 148 Panchayats in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district during the past 15 days.
The Yatra has travelled to many areas ensuring various government schemes and facilities at the door steps of the people.
Authorities informed that the Yatra will touch 190 Panchayats in Pulwama.
Continuing its successful journey the Yatra reached Panchayat Halqa Newa on Saturday where a pivotal moment unfolded .
A mega program took place in the presence of Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, Er. Ghulam Ali Khatana.
The event showcased the commitment of the government in ensuring the implementation of various schemes and facilities at the grassroots level.
Er. Ghulam Ali Khatana, after inspecting stalls set up by different government departments, administered the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra pledge to a large gathering of enthusiastic people and officials.
Highlighting the significance of the Yatra, Khatana emphasized the Prime Minister’s personal involvement in monitoring the progress of government schemes, ensuring they reach the intended beneficiaries.
“In the world, he is the only Prime Minister keeping track of various government schemes, ensuring they reach their actual beneficiaries,” said Khatana.
He further revealed that over 20,000 vans have been deployed to create awareness among the public, with deputy commissioners serving as nodal officers.
The meticulous coordination, he explained, is aimed at maximizing the outreach of government schemes, a stark contrast to previous administrations where only a fraction of benefits reached the intended recipients.
“During the tenure of previous governments, only 10 per cent of various scheme benefits would reach the beneficiaries, but now they receive 100 per cent benefit during the BJP government,” said Khatana.
Expressing contentment over the youth of Kashmir actively engaging in education and sports, he expressed hope that Jammu and Kashmir would emerge as the most peaceful region in the country.
Encouraging residents to embrace progress with peace and patience, Khatana acknowledged the teachings of Islam and its emphasis on tranquillity.
