VAJK felicitates players for outstanding performance at Senior National Volleyball Championship

Jammu, Jan 20: The Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir (VAJK) on Monday honoured the players and officials from J&K for their exceptional performance at the 69th Senior National Volleyball Championship (Men and Women) held in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
In a heartfelt felicitation ceremony held at the Lemon Tree Hotel in Jammu, 18 players and officials who participated in the prestigious championship were rewarded with cash prizes totalling Rs 90,000 and shawls.
The ceremony was graced by Nuzhat Gul, Secretary of the J&K Sports Council, who was the Chief Guest of the event. She distributed the prizes and lauded the efforts of the Volleyball Association of J&K for grooming players of a high standard. She congratulated the team for achieving a remarkable milestone by qualifying their pool for the first time in the Senior National Volleyball Championship and assured the full support of the Sports Council in helping J&K UT volleyball scale new heights on both national and international platforms. Raj Daluja, Patron-in-Chief of VAJK, also addressed the gathering, commending the players for their outstanding performance, which brought pride and recognition to J&K at the national level. He encouraged them to continue striving for excellence in their future endeavours.
The President of VAJK, Sidharth Daluja, congratulated the team on their historic achievement, emphasising the importance of hard work and perseverance.
The women’s executive members who accompanied the women’s team to the championship were also honoured with shawls in recognition of their contribution and support. In his address, Vijay Kumar Magotra, General Secretary of VAJK, provided a detailed overview of the championship, with a special mention of the exceptional performance of the JKUT Men’s Team.
