Bandipora, Sept 11: Former MLA Bandipora, Usman Majid, on Wednesday filed his nomination for the Bandipora Assembly seat, taking another step in his journey to serve the people of the constituency. He was joined by hundreds of his workers and supporters, filling the atmosphere with fervour, excitement, and hope for the future.
The atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm as Majid’s supporters celebrated his candidacy with immense passion. Earlier in the day, Majid paid his respects at the Ziyarat Ahamsharief in Bandipora, accompanied by DDC Firdousa Akhter. Majid expressed his commitment to serving Bandipora with humility and dedication.
Majid, contesting for the fourth time from the Bandipora seat, received overwhelming support from workers and supporters. The day was marked by a grand roadshow that passed through block headquarters and Bandipora market, leading up to the nomination venue. During his speech, Majid emphasized the importance of his agenda for change, which focuses on transforming the Bandipora Assembly Constituency through sustainable development and social welfare. “I am the sole guarantee for Bandipora’s advancement, and under my leadership, Bandipora will reach new heights of development,” Majid confidently said. “I will refurbish the face of the entire Bandipora if elected.”
Majid emphasized that, Under his stewardship, both as MLA and subsequently as the Planning Minister, Bandipora has witnessed unprecedented infrastructure development and economic growth.
