Budgam, June 22: Two Municipal committees in Budgam district of Central Kashmir, namely Magam and Beerwah, are set to establish two dedicated children’s parks. These parks aim to provide recreational spaces for young children within the respective municipal committees.
An official from the Municipal Committee Beerwah told the Rising Kashmir that 86 percent of the work on the children’s parks has been completed in the main town Beerwah.
“This is the first hi-tech children’s park in the Beerwah tehsil, where small children from the various villages can come along with their families on a daily basis. So, these small children can enjoy themselves in this children’s park, an official said.
He said that this park has been constructed upon the banks of Nallah Sukhnag, and the water that is flowing from this Nallah is adding more beautification to this park.
“We are also going to complete the fencing and installation of equipments. So, these small children can also play outdoor games in these parks. We are accepting that this park will get functional for small children between September and October month this year.”
Ghulam Mustafa, Chairman of the Municipal Committee Magam, said that the work on the childrens’ park in Magam town is mostly complete. We are also going to functional this park for the children within one month.
“This is a children’s park that is especially meant for the small children, where all kinds of facilities will also be made available for the small children, which is very necessary for this park,” Mustafa said.
He said that we are also going to construct the public park in front of the children park, and the work on the public park will also start very soon in the area.
