Srinagar, Nov 28: A seven-day training program on Sheep Husbandry: A Profitable Enterprise concluded at SKUAST Kashmir in the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. This comprehensive training covered all aspects of sheep farming, including breeding, opportunities for entrepreneurial growth, and integration with technology.
Supported by the Government of India’s Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME), the program aimed to enhance the skillsets of youth, encouraging them to pursue successful careers in sheep husbandry.
Experts from various fields, including veterinary sciences, animal husbandry, artificial intelligence, and related government departments, were invited as resource persons. Notable among them was Dr. Syed Anjum Andrabi, Assistant Director of the Holistic Agricultural Development Project (HADP), who delivered a special lecture on agri-preneurship opportunities and the HADP Project, alongside a diverse array of other experts.
The participants expressed their appreciation for the training and conveyed their interest in attending future sessions. The program was coordinated by Dr. Ambreen Hamadani, Assistant Professor at CAIML, SKUAST Kashmir, who extended her gratitude to all resource persons and trainees for their enthusiastic participation. Dr. Showkat Rasool, the head of CAIML, noted his satisfaction with the successful completion of the training.
