Kishtwar, Feb 01: Following the recent snowfall in Kishtwar district, there has been a significant rise in the number of tourists visiting the area.
Dr Devansh Yadav, the Deputy Commissioner of Kishtwar told Rising Kashmir that the district has experienced fresh snowfall, attracting more tourists to the region.
The Chowgan Kishtwar Central Park, known for its beautiful surroundings of chinar, cedar, and other trees, has witnessed a significant influx of both tourists and local visitors,” Dr Yadav said.
He said that tourists have been visiting Sinthan Maidan, as the heavy snowfall has resulted in the closure of Sinthan Top. However, visitors are still allowed to explore up to Sinthan Maidan.
” The increase in tourist footfall has led to the booking of hotels and the installation of stalls by street vendors. This surge in visitors is expected to boost the income of the local business sector,” DC Kishtwar said.
Dr Yadav assured that the district administration is fully prepared to provide support and assistance to both tourists and local visitors.
He emphasized the importance of visiting Kishtwar and encouraged everyone to explore the district.
