Kokernag, Jun 22:Tourists from various states in India and even from abroad are flocking to Sinthan Top, where snow still lingers despite the heatwave affecting much of India. Visitors say that the snowy landscape offers a completely unique experience.
Nirob, a tourist from Bangladesh, told Rising Kashmir that he, along with his wife and friends, were visiting Kashmir for the first time. He praised the valleys and scenery, describing them as more than just good.
He recommended that other Bangladeshis and people from other countries visit Kashmir, as the place have excellent hospitality and cuisine. He said that Kashmir is a place worth visiting.
“This season, we came here specifically to see the snow. Once we arrived in Kashmir, we learned that Sinthan Top is the only place where there’s still snow. We wanted to experience snow for the first time,” he said.
Gajraj Naharwal and his wife, Poonam Naharwal, from Gurgaon also shared their experiences of visiting Sinthan Top – they said that they had previously visited Patnitop, Srinagar, Gulmarg, Sonmarg, and Pahalgam.
Gajraj said that among all these places, he liked Sinthan Top the most and felt such a connection with the environment that he wanted to stay in Kashmir. It was his first visit, and he loved the places in Kashmir.
Vinay Deshpanday, a tourist from Mumbai, said that he had been planning to visit Kashmir for many years but couldn’t find the right time. After retiring from his bank job, he finally made the trip to see the beautiful places in Kashmir.
Vinay said he was hoping to see snow this season, and finding it at Sinthan Top was a very happy moment for him. He plans to visit almost all of Kashmir.
“I feel like I’ve come to Kashmir a bit late in life. The younger generation should visit as early as possible. At my age, walking is a bit difficult, but I urge youngsters to visit while they’re still young. Where I live, the temperature is hot, and experiencing this cold weather, which I haven’t seen in my life, is quite a unique experience,” he said.
