Jammu, May 07: Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Jammu East, Yudhvir Sethi on Wednesday inaugurated a blood donation camp at Geeta Bhawan, Parade in response to the present security situation following “Operation Sindoor”, which was launched after the tragic Pahalgam terror attack that took the lives of 26 innocent tourists.
The camp was organised to bolster emergency preparedness in light of heightened border tensions and to support the medical infrastructure in Jammu. A large number of party workers and volunteers participated in the drive, showing solidarity with the nation.
Addressing the gathering, Sethi said, “This is a time when every citizen must rise to support the nation and stand firmly with the Union government. Our brave soldiers are defending the borders with unmatched courage, and it is our duty to contribute in every way possible—from donating blood to helping each other in times of need.”
The senior BJP leader said such initiatives not only help prepare for any emergency but also reflect the unity and resilience of the people of Jammu in the face of adversity.
Adv Rajesh Gupta, District President Jammu, said a blood donation camp will be organised on Thursday outside the Brahmin Sabha, Parade. He appealed to the people to come forward and donate blood, emphasising the need to stay prepared in view of any emergency.
Gupta appreciated the efforts of medical staff and volunteers, and assured that the BJP stands committed to extending all possible help to the people and to the administration in these testing times.
Prominent among those who were present included Adv Rajesh Gupta, District President, Romesh Gupta, Vice President, Suneet Raina, General Secretary, Savita Anand Secretary, Raman Sharma Spokesperson, BJP leader Arun Sethi, Atul Sharma, Bhanu Sambyal and S Harvinder Singh.
