Srinagar, Jan 17: Thousands of Active Membership forms were submitted to Ashok Koul, General Secretary (Org) for BJP J&K on Friday by Shri Bilal Parray, National Executive Member of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) and Incharge of Active Membership for Kashmir.
“This shows growing support for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Kashmir,” the party said in a statement issued here. “This influx of new members marks a significant boost for the BJP’s presence in the region, reflecting a burgeoning trust in the party’s ideology and its commitment to fulfilling its promises.”
The response from the public underscores a shift in sentiment among the residents of Kashmir, who have expressed disillusionment with past governments perceived as failing to deliver on their commitments, the party said.
“The people of Kashmir have shown their trust in the BJP, and we are committed to working tirelessly for their welfare and development,” Parray said during the membership handover. He said the party is dedicated to engaging with the community and addressing the concerns of its constituents.
The BJP said its increasing popularity in Kashmir is due to its proactive approach in connecting with the populace and understanding their aspirations. “The party’s leadership has been actively involved in public outreach initiatives, addressing grievances, and promoting a vision of an inclusive and prosperous society,” it said.
With this good influx of new members, analysts predict that the BJP is poised to further consolidate its influence in Kashmir, the statement said. Party leaders said they will continue to prioritise the region’s development through transparent and accountable governance to create a brighter future for the people of the valley.
